My Collection
1760 – 1815
This was the main period of production of experimental British Porcelain, and the formulae used were constantly changing. Most items were hand painted, although the process of transferring patterns, usually in cobalt blue, from engraved blocks was developed in the later 18th century. Designs were fairly simple, and tea bowls were much more common than teacups.
